Designed with six-pointed star filament and open hook, our star filter brush is widely used in filtration systems such as fish farms, public aquarium, Koi pond and backyard garden pond.
It has excellent physical & biological filtration for blocking wastes and cultivates bacteria
Mountain Tree Filter Brushes are made of new plastic material with good shape and not easy to deform, can be used for more than 5 years, which is 5 times than conventional brush.
Mountain Tree Filter Brushes are used for mechanical filtration in the first filter chamber where the coarse dirt particles, such as remove fish waste or dead plants and algae. Also they are very good settlement area for beneficial microorganisms.
Mountain Tree Filter Brush is the optimal choice for Bakki shower of Koi pond, water treatment system, public aquaria, and backyard garden pond and so on.
Special Star-Shape Filament is special design patented by Mountain Tree, which is 4 times specific surface area than other brushes. It will generally enhance the mechanical filtration. Obviously strengthen the ability of adsorption and provide a massive surface area for biological colonization.
The fine polypropylene fibers are closely incorporated cylindrically in two stainless steel wires without clogging. Brushes can be recyclable used and has long lifespan of more than 5 years. At the top of a suspension hook is incorporated by injection molding, wherein both ends of the brush are protected with plastic caps, safe for installation and easy maintenance.
Great water permeability with proper density to improve dissolving oxygen amount, so that it has greater performance in transform NH3, NH4+ and NO2- into non-toxic nitrate in the same condition of filtration than other brush.
If users don’t have a pre-filter or wet/dry separation, or precipitate chamber in the sump, then the filter brush will be of great help.
In the sump, the filter brushes are put in the first chamber. When water is sucked up into the filtration chamber, the filter brush helps block up fish waste and food waste, which will be trapped into filaments along with the water current. Thus, it allows the biochemical filtration to work better.
Thanks to its tough surface, even tiny decomposed waste can be also trapped. The x-cross shape structure increases the surface of the single thread considerably, also creates at least 4 times adherability as much as the single thread does.
1.Rinse with water before putting the brush in the tank.
2.Brushes can be placed in the overflow filtration of aquarium sump, side filtration, mechanical chamber, etc.
3.Install Mountain Tree Filter Brush straightly in the box to ensure that brushes it totally sinks in water.
1.We suggest the Mountain Tree star filter brush should be cleaned once half a year. It depends on the size of your tank and pond.
2.When a significant amount of waste has built up on the brushes, it should be flushed away.
3.Keep an eye on it every month and the frequency depends on the size of your tank or pond.
With our Mountain Tree Initiative brush hook head helps you more convenient to install and maintain.
1 When being used, the filter brush should be fully submerged under water and well covered, to avoid direct sunlight or UV lighting.
2 When the water temperature is close to 0 degree Celsius or below, please do not move or clean the filter brush.
3 The filter brush should not be used under strong acid or strong alkali to avoid corroding and damaging the steel wire of the brush. It is not recommended to use the filter brush in sea water filtration system.
4 Maintenance: Except the low temperature environment that mentioned above, the spiral filter mat can be cleaned with low-pressure water nozzle.
